To the alchemists, gold symbolised the perfection of all matter, both material and spiritual. Like those mysterious scientists, we want to combine different elements to create a special and striking synthesis, something that surpasses its individual components. January 2005 was the first time that Alchemist presented itself to the public. However, our clothes have been around for much longer than that, in the mind of Caroline Mewe, the driving force behind Alchemist. “Because I rarely found the clothes I wanted to wear, I had the idea of starting my own line. I wanted a label for women who are over thirty and sometimes want to look tough, but sometimes super-feminine. Ever since the start Alchemist has had the privilege to work with a highly dedicated team which has been the base for a healthy growth. We do it with our heart and soul.
